I like these Color theme Upgrades alot however Im still waiting for an integrated Theme colored Clip launcher Ive gone over to Zenbeats this looks good tho

I have the latest version of Reaper (7.17) but when I execute - options; themes; Theme Adjuster, I get the old Theme adjuster or am I missing something? Great video by the way explaining this new feature. I changed one of the themes to a Default_7 however, when I select the Theme Adjuster, it says on the top: Defauilt_6.0 theme adjuster. Please help in any way, thank you.

A quick tip on getting FX/FX chains to show in the actions window I discovered: you don't actually need to make a shortcut for it, just click the "create shortcut" option and then cancel, it will show up in the actions window anyways! Saved me lots of time of making and then removing random shortcuts :)

This has some weird things: - When swapping color palettes, yellow from palette #1 should be replaced by yellow of palette #2. Not just randomly. - TCP columns/areas should be transparent. Otherwise you end up with two colored strips and everything else just... gray. Awful. Can't think of a reason why they had it working correctly in 6 and downgraded to this.

This is awesome! Also, i have a quick question 🙏 I'm writing cc events with my modwheel when I record an instrument, but it's recording in hundreds of steps, and I would like it to just add a linear cc event only at the end of my movements. I could have sworn you had a video on this, but i can't find it! I'd love either a pointer to the video or the name of the action please! 🙏

The adjuster 7.0 is unstable. If you select the "Stretch Name " balancing method on the "Track Control" tab, then you have to adjust label length in the "Track Panel" every time.

Great video! It was really well put together and quite timely. I've been using Reaper for around 3 years now and have always had a love/hate relationship with its UI and default configurations. Reaper's like that DIY project you thought would take a weekend but ends up consuming your life-I’ve spent countless hours tweaking it with scripts and plugins. I could have probably released a double album in that time! Eventually, I decided to make the shift to Cubase. Sure, the UI is more restrictive, but it’s like trading in a multi-tool for a well-designed Swiss Army knife. It’s not perfect, but those constraints help me just get on with making music. Reaper still sits on my hard drive like a loyal pet, but for now, Cubase is the one fetching my creative sticks. I love the Reaper community, and Reaper is a fantastic DAW with so much potential. If they could just nail the UI/UX experience and set up the defaults right from the start, it would be unstoppable. Thanks again for the great content!!

Thanks for the video! I think I've messed up something with my Reaper and although I've just downloaded the latest version (v7.17), the default v7.0 theme is nowhere to be found! Is there something I might have done wrong? Maybe something with the extensions i've downloaded from time to time. Even the layout options I have look different than they look in your videos: mine say "aa---standard", "ab------standard sidebar" etc etc.... Any tips...?

Pretty sure you can use rewire reaper to run these reaper variations as a plugin too, but dont quote me on that haha
